BEDMINSTER CONCERNED CITIZENS

The Bedminster Concerned Citizens (BCC) group was formed in late December 2004 when word of a number of proposed developments became known. We are residents of Bedminster Township in Bucks County, PA. We started meeting in a private home and now meet monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church on Route 611, just north of the Pipersville post office.

 Our purpose is to be informed and to let our township supervisors know that preserving open space and managing growth within our township is important to us. Our goals are to maintain the quality of life in the township, retain the rural atmosphere and limit the draw of our water resources. We share information with neighboring townships since development is a regional issue and items such as traffic and water quality affect us all. We meet monthly to exchange information that we have learned from attending hearings at the Bedminster Township building and as residents hear of us, we add them to an e-mail distribution list to notify them of upcoming events.

BCC members and friends from the community continue the cleanup of Route 611 from Quarry Road to Route 113. 2009 was our fourth year of trash collected from 2 miles of highway!

Please keep us in mind for 2010 and come out to help us. Weather permitting, our first Route 611 cleanup will be on May 1st, rain date May 8th. Other cleanup dates will be in the evening of June 22, and the mornings of September 19th and October 23rd.

 All citizens are welcome to participate in the cleanup, but in order to do so, you must view a 16-minute training video and sign a form provided by Penn DOT. If you would like to participate in the cleanup, please e-mail us. You will be contacted to arrange a time for viewing the training video.
